Policies

Authorship Policy
Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions, including one or more of the following:
Ø Conception or design of the study
Ø Data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation
Ø Drafting or critically revising the manuscript
Ø Approval of the final version
Requests for changes in authorship after submission must be accompanied by written consent from all authors and are subject to editorial approval.


Research Ethics and Human Subjects
For studies involving human participants, surveys, interviews, or personal data, authors must confirm that:
Ø The research complies with institutional, national, and international ethical standards
Ø Ethical approval was obtained from an appropriate ethics committee, where required
Ø Informed consent was obtained from participants
Ø Participant confidentiality and data protection requirements were observed
Ø Failure to meet ethical research standards may result in rejection or retraction.


Conflicts of Interest
Ø All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence their work.
Ø Disclosed conflicts of interest will be published alongside the article where relevant. Failure to disclose conflicts may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, or other corrective actions.


Plagiarism Policy
Bradford Journal of Business, Management & Technology maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
Ø Direct copying without proper citation
Ø Substantial similarity to previously published work
Ø Self-plagiarism or redundant publication without disclosure
Manuscripts found to contain unacceptable similarity may be rejected outright or returned to authors for clarification or correction.


Ethical Oversight and Misconduct
The journal takes allegations of misconduct seriously, including:
Ø Plagiarism
Ø Data fabrication or falsification
Ø Redundant or duplicate publication
Ø Unethical research practices
Allegations are investigated following COPE guidelines, with authors given an opportunity to respond. Confirmed cases may result in rejection, correction, retraction, temporary submission bans, or notification of relevant institutions.


Corrections
If errors are identified in published articles that do not invalidate the findings, the journal will issue a correction (erratum or corrigendum). Corrections are clearly linked to the original article and freely accessible.


Retractions
Articles may be retracted if:
Ø Findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error
Ø The work involves plagiarism or redundant publication
Ø Ethical standards have been seriously violated
Retractions follow COPE Retraction Guidelines and:
Ø Clearly state the reason for retraction
Ø Remain permanently linked to the original article
Ø Preserve the scholarly record while clearly identifying the article as retraced.


Expressions of Concern
Where an investigation is ongoing but inconclusive, the journal may issue an Expression of Concern to inform readers of potential issues.


Open Access Policy
Ø Bradford Journal of Business, Management & Technology is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely available to everyone immediately upon publication, with no registration or embargo period.
Ø Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, reuse, and share articles for any lawful purpose, provided proper credit is given to the author(s).
Ø All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License, which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium with appropriate attribution.
Ø No Article Processing Charges (APCs) apply.


Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written appeal with supporting justification. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or an independent editorial advisor.


Complaints
Complaints related to editorial processes, ethics, or publication practices should be submitted via the journal’s official contact channel. All complaints are handled confidentially, fairly, and in accordance with COPE guidelines.
