Publication Ethics

Bradford Journal of Business, Management & Technology (BJBMT) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The journal adheres to the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to uphold these standards.

The journal is dedicated to ensuring transparency, integrity, academic rigor, and editorial independence throughout the editorial and publication process.


Peer Review Process
Bradford Journal of Business, Management & Technology operates a double-blind peer review system. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by review by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. The peer-review process is conducted fairly, objectively, and confidentially, with decisions based solely on the scholarly merit of the work.


Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
Ø  Making publication decisions based exclusively on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope
Ø  Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and timely peer-review process
Ø  Maintaining editorial independence from the publisher, sponsors, advertisers, or other commercial interests
Ø  Preserving the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities
Ø  Preventing conflicts of interest from influencing editorial decisions
Ø  Addressing allegations of misconduct, ethical concerns, and complaints in accordance with COPE guidelines and flowcharts


Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
Ø  Conduct reviews objectively, constructively, and professionally
Ø  Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe
Ø  Maintain strict confidentiality of manuscripts and related materials
Ø  Declare any conflicts of interest and decline review where such conflicts exist
Ø  Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors
Ø  Notify editors of any suspected ethical issues, plagiarism, or research misconduct


Duties of Authors
Authors must:
Ø  Ensure that submitted work is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere
Ø  Accurately present research methods, data, and findings
Ø  Properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citation
Ø  Disclose all conflicts of interest and sources of financial support
Ø  Ensure that all listed authors meet the journal’s authorship criteria
Ø  Confirm that all authors have approved the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission
